Marketing your massage business

It is challenging for massage therapists to come up with marketing ideas. You need to be creative and ensure that your business stands out from your competitors so that customers are constantly streaming in.

  1. Update your Blog and Website

Make sure that you constantly post new information on your blog and website; this ensures that you develop a relationship with your customers. It takes a lot of time but the results are worth it and it helps you take charge of your space. You can share your blog posts on your social media pages. This will help drive traffic to your website and they can know about the services you offer. There are a number of sites that are free.

  1. Be informative

Don’t constantly bombard your customers with sales pitches; you can share interesting and informative articles. You can share the benefits of having massages and also answer any questions that they may have. Provide them with helpful information that will keep them coming back for more. Your clients will start enjoying the great content you share with them and you will be the first they come to when they need a massage.

  1. Attend networking events

Networking is a good way of letting people know about your business. You need to know what is going on in your community or industry. You can find them through Facebook and join local groups and you will meet up with people who share the same interests.

  1. Giveaways

You can offer 10 minute massages or body rubs that will help people know who you are. You can also give out vouchers offering discounts. You can distribute your business cards and brochures and this will help in advertising your business.

  1. Get on social media

Being active on social media is a good way of interacting with customers. Social media makes a business seem more human and it also helps you to create relationships with your customers. Use a tone that is fun and playful that makes you look more of a friend than a business. You can post photos that show your customers what you do and it also a great way of advertising for free. You can also use mediums that use photos such as Instagram since visual marketing is becoming very important.

  1. Get something from your clients

A relationship is two way, therefore make sure you get something from your clients i.e. contacts and referrals. This will enable you to keep in touch with them, you will have more people to email and you can also turn them to social media friends. You can also ask your clients to refer you to their friends since most clients are willing to give referrals.

  1. Optimize your business online

Ensure that your website has keywords that most people are looking for online. Using search engine optimization ensures that when people are looking for massage therapists online, they find you easily. If clients can find you easily online, the more business you will have. Google also have a call to action button that can be used on your business listing.

If you try the strategies listed above you will get more booking appointments. If you own a massage or body rub business then getting more customers should be your prority.
